We can’t do the work that we do without our supporters. Be a champion for orangutans this Giving Day for Apes and help us raise $20,000.
Fundraising doesn’t have to be a daunting task and you certainly don’t have to bend over backwards just to achieve your target. We want you to enjoy the process while you’re supporting our appeal.
All you need to do is build a fundraising page – we have the steps involved for that below – then share the link to your page with your friends, co-workers, and loved ones to ask for donations. It can be as simple as that!

- Start building your fundraiser – you can use our template.

Here are some of our favourite tips that can help you to become a fundraising champion for our wonderful cause:
- GET THE BALL ROLLING: Be the first to donate to your own fundraiser. It shows your friends and family that you’re taking your fundraising seriously!
- SHARE YOUR PAGE: Once your page is set up, share it far and wide! Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are great places to start asking for donations and remember to tag us, the BOS Foundation. Don’t forget about emails, WhatsApp, and texts too.
- INCENTIVISE YOUR DONORS: If you have something fun to offer to your network who donate, it can be a great way to motivate people to throw an extra dollar your way. Some of our favourite examples are offering homemade gifts, like printed photos, small paintings, or woven bracelets for the first 10 people who donate $20. Don't be afraid to get creative and use your own special talents!
- MAKE AN EVENT OUT OF IT: Get people excited to donate and show your dedication by taking action in real life. Do you like to run? Maybe you can offer to run a mile for every $100 donated. Or you can do something more silly, like pledging to get a funny haircut if you reach your fundraising goal! The only limit is your imagination!
- SAY THANK YOU: It is important to let everyone who supports you know just how much this means. Say thank you to all the generous people who donated and let them know your final total.
